American Baptist Women at First Baptist Church of Spencer are very busy and going in all different directions. Several of our ladies attended the Good Hope Association Fall Rally on September 18th; the annual Spiritual Growth Retreat at Parchment Valley on October 7th through 9th and the WV Baptist Convention Annual Conference Women’s Day in Summersville on October 20th.

We are blessed with leadership in our church and have three presidents serving this year.

• Zola Miller is the State ABW president

• Mary Ann Wilson is the Good Hope Association ABW President

• June Walker is the Retired Ministers and Missionaries President

In addition to all the teaching, leadership, music, missionary, and volunteer ministries, we are currently making Chrismon ornaments for our first-ever Chrismon tree and our Board of Deaconesses is busy preparing for a church Thanksgiving Dinner on November 6th.

God is blessing our ministries and we hope to become even more active in 2012.
