Established in 1856, First Baptist Church has a storied history of proclaiming the Gospel message to Spencer, Roane County and beyond.

Our church is a self governing congregation. We maintain affiliation with the Good Hope Baptist Association, the West Virginia Baptist Convention, and American Baptist Churches of the USA.

Our mission is “Disciples Making Disciples”. We are always looking for like minded individuals to join us in the Kingdom building mission.
